I’m not really sure where to start when describing this blog. I suppose it’s a place where I can dump all the bits and pieces that I find interesting about “the beautiful game” . I must point out that you are far more likely to find a posting here regarding the Azeri second division than Manchester United’s chances in the Champions League this season. Being a Wales and Cardiff City (one of the nice friendly ones) supporter I may veer towards those subjects too. I hope you enjoy your stay.

As for the title of the blog, it is named in honour of Italian Mirko Bolesan who made one substitute for Cardiff City against Scunthorpe United in the mid 90s. It seems to sum up what this blog is about, somehow.

Stumbled across your blog, as i was looking for a photo of Mirko Bolesan.

Since i’m a soccer stato i made a database to record every player who played at least one League, FA Cup, League Cup or other major competition match.
And guess what since Mirko made one subs app for Cardiff City he’s in there too 🙂

Trying to recreate the guys football career before and after Cardiff i gathered bits and pieces. In fact Mirko still plays footie at AC Genova in Italian Promozione (7th level) so he’s come full circle as he started as a youth player with more famous Genoa club.

So to come to my question. Would you happen to have a photo of Mirko i could use in my database?

Unfortunately I do not have a picture of the great man! I’d obviously also be interested in seeing one.. However, I am very happy to hear he is still going strong at AC Genova.
